Meet Caladh

(Pronounced; Ka-La), from the Gaelic word meaning harbour or haven

Burned out and buried under a hail of responsibilities, lost and forlorn in a sea of competing expectations or looking for an escape from the dreich and dowie days, to find a haven before you sink beneath the waves.

There's a lighthouse on the rocks guiding you to a harbour that's always safe and secure, a sanctuary of trust and compassion, calm and self-discovery. Welcome to Caladh. A safe place to explore your inner processes and overcome obstacles to achieving your full potential.

Caladh Counselling and Psychotherapy provides a sanctuary for wellbeing, from grief, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress or other challenges. A safe, nurturing space where you can heal, transform, and unlock your full potential.

Meet Your Therapist

Welcome to Caladh, I'm Rory, a fully qualified and registered counsellor, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling using Transactional Analysis, which is validated by COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland). I'm the founder of Caladh Counselling and Psychotherapy. My practice is supervised according to the requirements of the regulatory bodies; the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA). I attend ongoing training and professional development. Furthermore, my practice is fully covered by professional indemnity insurance provided by the Psychologist Protection Society,

My speciality is using Transactional Analysis (TA), an approach to counselling and psychotherapy that helps you understand your personality, how you interact with others and how past life events could be affecting your here-and-now experience of the world around you.

Working with me can lead you to greater self-awareness, and increase your understanding of why you react to situations the way you do, leading to a healthier relationship with yourself, family, friends and work colleagues. You can lift depression, ease your anxiety and overcome other problems that can affect your mental wellbeing. You are in charge of your own therapy and the direction it takes.

I won't tell you what to do or what not to do - therapy will give you the tools you need to make your own decisions about your life. Working together we can overcome negative thoughts and behaviour patterns that may be holding you back from achieving your goals. Get in touch to arrange a consultation session. We can have a chat about how therapy with Caladh can help you.
